Transactional / M&A Attorney
Business Planning & Transactions Practice Group
The ideal candidate is an experienced practitioner, with law firm or other private sector experience, and will possess the following skills and capabilities:
- Five or more years of experience in business/commercial transactions, including complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
- Structuring and negotiating a variety of transaction types, with an understanding of the tax implications of each type.
- Experience in private equity, private securities offerings (including for employees and investors), and venture capital experience is a plus.
- Excellent drafting skills, particularly with respect to correspondence, purchase agreements and related documents.
- Team focused and hard-working professional, with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
- Portable practice is a plus, but not required.
- Must be a member of the Maryland Bar (Virginia, D.C., and other Mid-Atlantic states a plus).
