Jillianne J. Trotter
About Jillianne
Jillianne’s passion for family law began when she was a fellow of the Sayra and Neil Meyerhoff Center for Families, Children and the Courts while she attended law school. As a fellow, she developed a deeper understanding of Therapeutic Jurisprudence, a framework that focuses on the effect the law has on people and considers mental health outcomes. Jillianne also participated in weekly restorative circles with children, their families and judges. These experiences inspired Jillianne to devote her practice to family law and advocate for her clients and their well-being.
Prior to joining the firm, Jillianne served as a law clerk for the District Court of Baltimore City and The Appellate Court of Maryland. Before law school, Jillianne leveraged her creativity to develop innovative programs for young people, as a Children’s Instructor and Research Assistant at the Howard County Library System.
Jillianne resides in Ellicott City and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and doing anything creative.
